Gretchen Coppage
Gretchen Coppage is a seasoned educator and the Head of the Reading Department at Radcliffe Creek School, where her passion for fostering a love of learning has shaped students for over two decades. With a deep commitment to effective instructional strategies, she is dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. Her extensive experience, cultivated over 30 years in both public and private school settings, includes her instrumental role in establishing and teaching the school's Pre-K program.
Gretchen's expertise is further solidified by her Orton-Gillingham training, which enables her to tailor instruction to meet individual needs and inspire academic growth. A hometown native of Chestertown, MD, she is not only a respected teacher but also a mentor to her peers. Outside of her career, Gretchen finds joy in spending time with her family and pursuing hobbies such as gardening, swimming, and reading.
