Tamina Dilling
Tamina Dilling is a dedicated Language Arts and Literacy Teacher whose diverse background, including service in the U.S. Navy and extensive teaching experience, has shaped her creative and resilient approach in the classroom. With an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood from Ashworth College and a Bachelor of Science from Ashford University, Tamina brings a deep understanding of educational principles to her work. Her career journey includes time as a Shipboard Trainer in the U.S. Navy and an American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor, equipping her with a unique ability to command a room while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Before joining her current role, Tamina served as a Homeschool Teacher for the Tall Oaks Co-op and as a Substitute and Summer School Teacher for Queen Anne's County Public Schools, giving her a wide range of experience with different student populations. Known for her ability to connect with students and build a positive rapport, she leverages her strong background to inspire a love of reading and writing in her students. Tamina was recognized for her commitment to nurturing young people when she was named Foster Parent of the Year by Queen Anne's County in 2007. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hiking with her dog, spending time with her children and grandchildren, riding her horse, and traveling to visit extended family.
