Debbie Cohee-Wright

Debbie Cohee-Wright is a founding member of Radcliffe Creek School and a highly experienced Special Education Learning Specialist and Educational Consultant. A dedicated educator with 50 years of experience, she holds a BA from Greensboro College and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Special Education from the Maryland State Department of Education, supplemented by extensive graduate coursework. Her expertise spans a wide range of learning differences, including dyslexia, ASD, and ADHD. A lifelong learner, she holds an ADHD-Certified Educator certification and a Science of Reading microcredential, in addition to specialized training in Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing, and Visualization and Verbalization.


As a co-founder of Radcliffe Creek School in 1996, Mrs. Cohee-Wright has been instrumental in creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment for students who struggle in traditional settings. In her current role, she provides essential support to teachers and parents, serves on the admissions committee, and oversees student testing, ensuring each child receives a tailored educational plan. Her commitment to mentorship, inspired by her own experience with Dr. Fran Bowman, has been crucial in shaping the next generation of educators.


Beyond her work at Radcliffe, Mrs. Cohee-Wright runs Cohee Education Group, an LLC providing private evaluations, consultative services, and support to parents navigating the public school system. She also serves as the Board President for the Choptank Tolomato Legacy Project, a non-profit dedicated to cultural literacy through the arts. Her passion for education, coupled with her unwavering dedication and compassion, continues to profoundly impact the lives of countless students, parents, and educators.
