Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is most often described as “active learning” – which could be as simple as tossing water balloons to learn about physics concepts to rhyming sounds drawn in chalk on the playground to learn about phonetics.
Specific strategies include the Orton-Gillingham method for teaching reading; small group instruction; speech and language therapy; and occupational therapy.

Through a growth-focused mindset, care and connection, we craft a personalized experience with multi-sensory instruction that appeals to your child's specific strengths and interests. Finally, with genuine feedback regarding how your child has bloomed and struggled, we develop an individualized plan on how to help your child overcome their aforementioned problem-areas.
Reading
Since Radcliffe Creek started over 25 years ago, the Orton-Gillingham approach continues to be a vital part in helping our students become successful readers. Teachers, who have been through extensive training in this approach, have devoted themselves to creating engaging and fun instruction while keeping each student’s individual strengths and needs in mind.
Speech Pathology
Language skills are the foundation for academic growth and success and they impact a child’s social interactions as well. Language difficulties can affect a child’s ability to acquire reading skills, express his or her knowledge in the classroom, participate in class discussions, follow directions, remember curricular material, as well as interact with peers and adults.
Multi-Sensory Learning
Each student learns differently, especially one with a learning difference. That’s why all aspects of Radcliffe’s curriculum are taught in ways that incorporate the visual, auditory, kinetic, and tactile senses of each student, focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses with the purpose of teaching them how to learn using multiple senses.
